Yoga Natal game appears on GAME retailer’s Xbox 360 release schedule
Time for some more salacious prognostications about the future, courtesy of the wily folks over at vg247. The team there claims to have obtained internal documents from UK video game retailer GAME that lists the release dates for forthcoming Xbox 360 titles. The listing is headlined by new iterations of Crysis, Call of Duty and Metal Gear Solid, but the highlight for us gadget junkies is at the very end: Yoga Natal, scheduled for an October release. Now, even if this doc comes straight from the horse’s mouth, game release dates are notoriously prone to fluctuation, so let’s not read too much into that October date. What’s intriguing is that Microsoft does indeed seem intent on creating specialist games for its Natal experience, and it may be that they’ll all include Natal in their titles to make compatibility abundantly clear. Or this may be just a big bad April 1-related hoax, we’ll live either way.
[Thanks, Matt R.]

Datel reportedly looking to ‘remedy’ Microsoft’s lock-out of unauthorized memory units
This brouhaha isn’t officially on just yet, but MaxConsole has what it says is a letter from Datel’s UK distributors, which details the company’s response to Microsoft’s locking-out of unauthorized memory units in the upcoming (and currently previewed) Xbox 360 dashboard update. While it’s a bit short on specifics, Datel reportedly says that it is “aware of the changes that are required to remedy this problem and will shortly release a solution in readiness for this potential update.” In the meantime, it’s apparently telling retailers that they can send back the affected memory units if they like, and promises it will replace them with updated units in time for the dashboard update.

Netflix Streaming Coming to Another Mystery Device Soon [NetFlix]
In yesterday’s earnings call, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings revealed that streaming would soon arrive on a mystery device with a “material installed base.” Hey, Reed, could you do me a favor? Please make it the PS3.
Normally I wouldn’t ask, but you and I have a connection. No, not in a weird way. We’re alumni of the same college. Sure, I know that Microsoft has come out and said that Netflix streaming is an Xbox exclusive, but c’mon. Don’t you think the ties of alumni relations are stronger than some piece of paper full of legalese? I do.
iPhone or Android apps would be cool too, but I would much much rather have it on something hooked up to my television. So, yeah, if you could release a PS3 app, that’d be great. Thanks! [NewTeeVee via Electronista]

Microsoft: ‘We have no plans for Blu-Ray on Xbox 360′
A recent Gizmodo sit down with Steve Ballmer led with a headline exclaiming a Blu-ray add-on for Xbox was coming. See, when Ballmer was asked about making the Xbox a home theater companion of choice and where Blu-ray might fit in, the Windows 7 wild man said, “Well I don’t know if we need to put Blu-ray in there — you’ll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories.” He then added that on-demand is the future of movies, not physical media. Now our bud Major Nelson, Director of Programming for Xbox Live, has stepped up to lay the conflation to rest. The Major says that Ballmer was referring to Blu-ray accessories for the PC and reiterated Microsoft’s focus of bringing instant-on 1080p streaming movies to the Xbox 360. So… that should end speculation of Blu-ray on Xbox right? Not if history serves, nope.
