Entelligence: Seven on 7
This was a big week for Microsoft, as Steve Ballmer took the stage in New York and formally introduced Windows 7 to the world. It was almost a little anti-climactic: the OS has been finished and shipped to OEMs for months, while developers and pretty much any enthusiast who wanted a copy has one by now. Still, this is the week that Microsoft takes the message and OS to the mass market and the PC holiday sales system formally kicks off. I’ve held back from writing about the OS for the most part, but here’s seven things about Windows 7 — three features that I think are over-hyped and four things that make 7 something worth purchasing, either as an upgrade or as part of a new PC.

Windows 7 Burger Hacked and Unlocked [Humor]
The Windows 7 burger is region locked to Japan. Fortunately one amazing hacker found a way to hack the sandwich for region-free consumption. You’re looking at the results: the world’s first unlocked cheeseburger.
This hacker also accomplished what may be the world’s first burger jailbreak. There’s a ton of functionality added in like cheese and extra sauces, the kind of stuff the stock build can’t touch.
Instructions on how to hack and unlock your own Windows 7 burger are provided at the link. Please, head over and give this a digg. Work this great more than deserves it. [Eating the Road, thanks Samuel!]

30 Rock ’s Emphatically Branded Windows Computer Is Confusing [TV]
On this week’s 30 Rock, we found out Jack’s (or Jack’s designer’s) choice of computer, and it’s a weird one: It’s a prop model of a forcefully-branded Windows computer, yet 30 Rock has historically been in love with Apple products.
Warning: Clip is US-only. U-S-A! U-S-A!
At first glance I thought it was a black MacBook with a Windows logo pasted over the Apple, but that’s not it—the case is too shiny and angular, looking more like a slick Lenovo or something. 30 Rock has been very obvious in its love of Apple products in the past, with Liz and Jack always using iPhones and the writers using MacBooks, so it’s pretty surprising to see a Windows computer, even if it’s an imaginary one. But 30 Rock has always been a little edgy about product placement anyway, once breaking the fourth wall to ask advertisers “Can we have our money now?” But hell, at least it’s not at the point of the “Dr. Pepper Amuse Bouche Challenge” nonsense of Top Chef.
